About

I’m Kathy. I build AI systems at Meta and run a consulting practice called Aeterna on the side.

My day job puts me across program management, software engineering, data engineering, and data science — usually all at once, usually without the title for any of them. I have an M.S. in Statistics and a habit of building things from scratch when I can’t find the right tool.

This blog is where I think out loud about the work — what I’m building, what I’m figuring out, and what I notice along the way. No content strategy, just the practice of saying things in public.

Previously this was Cognitive Curiosities, a blog about machine learning and cognitive science. Those posts are still here. The scope just got wider.
